When a paternity test shows that a child's DNA does not match that of the alleged father, he is excluded 100% as the biological father of the child. When the child's DNA does match that of the alleged father, we can prove a probability of 99.998% or greater for paternity. To arrive at a probability of paternity, human cells are first extracted from the tested parties. In the case of in-home sample collection, cheek cells are collected from the mouth with a buccal swab. In the laboratory, these cells are removed from the swab. The DNA from these cells is then extracted, and cut into sample fragments with enzymes. These fragments are placed into a gel matrix, where an electric current drives the fragments across the gel. Later in the process, these fragments are exposed to a labelled DNA probe.
This probe recognizes and binds to a unique segment of the person's DNA. Where this probe binds to each person's DNA is the key to establishing relationships.
A film is developed which will reveal black bands where the probes bound to each individuals DNA. The pattern of a child is unique - half matches the mother and half matches the father. If it is revealed that the band patterns of the alleged tested father DO NOT match that of the child, that person can be conclusively excluded as the child's father. If the patterns DO match, the probability of paternity begins to grow. This entire process is repeated several times independently in a comprehensive paternity test. Many different probes, producing many different band patterns, are revealed. The more probes that are used; the more definitive the results can be. DNA testing is very scientific and very accurate. DNA BIOSERVICES is able to perform this highly specialized testing at a very affordable fee because of a highly efficient laboratory.
We've put together a free DNA test kit that you can order right now. You will receive your discreet kit in the mail within 2 days. The kit contains BUCCAL swabs and return envelopes. Taking the sample is simple: just wipe the BUCCAL swab inside your cheek. You can take the DNA samples in the comfort and privacy of your own home and return them for processing immediately. As soon as we receive your kit and payment, our lab will begin the DNA extraction and analysis process. This takes up to 5-10 days, at which time we send you your confidential results.
DNA testing is a general term that covers anything related to DNA. Like fingerprints, DNA identifies specific individuals. Your DNA is unique, and it distinguishes you from every other person in the world. Unlike fingerprints, though, your DNA is partly inherited from your parents. So while DNA testing can be used for many things, paternity testing is focused on using that inheritance to determine family lines.
Peace of mind paternity testing is the most affordable way to receive personal, authoritative answers about the paternity of a child or individual.
DNA testing has starred in several high-profile legal cases, recently.
With its increasing acceptance as a legal tool, however, DNA testing has become burdened with legal requirements. For a DNA test to be admissible in court, a rigorous chain-of-custody process must be followed, along with numerous other expensive procedural details. None of these practices increase the quality or reliability of the test -- they simply exist to satisfy any legal challenges a lawyer might raise.
Our 'Peace of Mind' paternity tests are designed as an affordable alternative. They can help you avoid the expense and emotional difficulty of drawn-out court battles. We test 18 genetic locations and independently run every test twice. Your results are certified with a 99.998% degree of accuracy.
Get the information you need, with scientific proof, and get the peace of mind you deserve.
