DNA Bioservices offers two types of DNA detective Services, those for comparing either

1. identities or
2. relationships of DNA profiles from special specimens,

such as licked envelopes, hair, semen, blood stains, chewed gum, or other biological specimens.

DNA Profiling can be performed on:

• Hair samples (with roots intact)

• Conclusive Range: 0% or >99% probability of identification.
• Turnaround Time: 5 - 10 Days.
• Other Details: This test is used to match an identity between ‘special specimens’ and specimens on a swab. Special specimens include hair roots, cigarette butts, biological stains, licked envelopes, chewed gum, toothbrushes, etc.

• Turnaround Time: 3-6 Weeks.
• Other Details: This test is used to match a relationship between ‘special specimens’ and specimens on a swab. Special specimens include hair roots, cigarette butts, biological stains, licked envelopes, chewed gum, toothbrushes, etc.

2. Follow the easy instructions to collect the cheek cell specimens from the individuals to be included in the analysis using the swabs provided in the kit. Place the special specimens (e.g., hair, semen stain, or blood stain) into an envelope or plastic bag. If the special specimen is moist do not place into a plastic bag until the item has completely dried. NOTE: Results obtained from specimens collected at home are not strongly supported in a court of law.
3. Send payment and the samples for analysis to DNA Bioservices.
   Results usually take between two and six weeks (depending on the procedure), and will be provided by email, telephone, mail and/or facsimile.
